Jo’s Melbourne Trip’s Diary (Part II)

9 Aug Wed
- Breakfast with Ying at Max café at Essendon
- Took Tram 59 from Essendon to downtown CBD with Ying
- Shopping along Bourke St Mall & Collins St
- Met up with Jou outside MNG at Bourke St at 12:30 p.m.. Gave each other a big big hug * she still looks as pretty as usual, carries the name ‘Joanne’ well…hahaha *
- Jou said ‘hi’ to Ying, Ying said ‘hi’ back to Jou
- 3 girls went for lunch at Hard Rock Café * now 3 bak pohs in action bombarding the Hard Rock -> terrorism in Melbourne downtown, worse than the one in Bali. BTW, Jou spoke legal terms a lot nowadays … just kidding, she is still that smart bimbo/ ambitious housewife but a bit more mature now *
- Took pix outside Hard Rock and the Parliament House * some good men were protesting against abortion there but Jou voted for ‘pro choice’ (see, spoke legal term again) *
- Took tram to shop at Smith St outlet stores, strolled up and down the street
- Coffee at Café Beelzebub * never missed my caffeine booster dose… well the cafés are everywhere lah *
- Took tram back to Bourke St
- Shop shop at Myer & Melbourne Central * Jou introduced me to a shop called ‘Temt’, got nice tops at very decent price *
- Said ‘bye’ to Jou and went back to Essendon with Ying
- Packing *prepare to move to Rita’s place *
- Went down stair to get some chocolates at Bi-Lo * for frens & colleagues back home *
- Dinner at Ying’s place * Ying’s soup was nice, the chicken wings too *
- Rita & Betty came to pick Ying and I up to move to Glen Waverley for a girls’ night out
- Visited Betty’s place at Mulgrave, had lemon honey drinks * Betty got a huge house, a ‘hou nnnng’ according to our secondary school Chinese teacher Mr. Hii *
- Ying and I slept at Rita’s place at Glen Waverley * of course, the 2 bak pohs couldn’t help but chat again *

10 Aug Thurs
- Cooked breakfast for everyone at Rita’s place * wooooo…beautiful chef in action again *
- Betty and Wee Ming came to join us for breakfast
- Departed to drive to Marysville with Betty, Wee Ming, Rita, Ying and I * WM drove, the 4 bak pohs continue to bombard in Rita’s black Lancer *
- Stopped by the wineries for wine tasting and picked up a bottle of Chandon white wine
- Lunch at Marysville * forgot the restaurant name but the food was good there *
- Visited Bruno’s Art & Sculpture Garden
- Went to Steavenson Falls
- Took a long round trip of 46 km along Lady Talbot Forest Drive * stupid idea proposed by Rita but turned out to be fun after we created romantic moments & entertainment in my famous foochow slang to cheer up our driver WM and navigator Betty… * * but I wouldn’t recommend to take this drive again kos the road condition wasn’t that good. WM went down the car to pick out ‘cha yang’ from the wheels few times…full marks on the score cards from the girls *
- Checked in to Scenic B&B Motel at Marysville
- Dinner at In Neutral, a biker restaurant * the taukeh nio’s face looks like everyone owes her few million $ *
- Back to the motel * WM was very thoughtful on the details, winning full marks till the girls ran out of score cards! Betty, you should just marry him lah *
- Played interesting UNO games at the motel room * where Rita turned into a bitchy monster everytime she lost a game... till I announced that she is no longer my good fren but just my ‘primary school mate’ or ‘that same town girl’ due to her extreme poor cards manner… hahaha…I’ll never forget this one, Rita! *
- Chatted with Betty and Ying till 4 a.m. * while the bitchy monster was sleeping…*
- This is one of my best nights in Melbourne… * frens, u guys r just so funny lah *

11 Aug Fri
- Woke up at 8 a.m. * seriously under-slept, over-chatted *
- Breakfast at the motel at 9 a.m.
- Hired boot, pants and Toboggan from the ski hire at Marysville * feeling kinda excited, Lake Mountain here we come!! *
- Drove to Lake Mountain * Where is snow?? No thick snow, just icy field… the girls were kinda disappointed. Betty and Ying just went straight to the café…really not as adventurous as Rita and me… Anyway… *
- Played Toboggan at Run1 & Run3 with Rita & Wee Ming * 1,2,3 go… AAAhh… hehe not bad but the run was a bit too short *
- Joined Ying & Betty at the café
- Drove back to Marysville to return the ski hire * we told the taukeh that there wasn’t much snow up there… guess what he said, he answered ‘Yes, I know!’… Well?! %^#$@*& !! *
- Lunch at Frago’s at Marysville * Marysville is famous for their trout, yummy… started to forget about the disappointment earlier on… *
- Drove back to Melbourne -> Rita’s place
- Went downtown with Ying, Betty & Wee Ming to Queen Victoria Market
- Again, QV Market was closed * this place just never seems to open or I just have no luck *
- Went to Crown Casino * I won AUD$11 from the slot machine… haha! *
- Walked along the river to check out the Melbourne night view * wooooo… nice pak toh place for Betty & WM *
- Dinner at Samurai with Rita, Betty, Ying, Mak, Boon and WM * Oh sashimi, oishi neh!! *
- Sent Ying home
- Back to Rita’s place at Glen Waverley
- Chatted with Rita till 2 a.m. * the N night staying up late… the bak pohs really have tones of stories to talk about *
