All the best, Dom!

Last night we bid farewell to our pal Dom, who has gone to Beijing today, embark on his new career journey.

Dom and I are daily online pal. While he was in NZ, due to the time difference, we get to chat almost everyday, mainly about investment and stock markets etc. He is very 'informative/resourceful' (a.k.a. 'kepo'... hehe...). He always knows a lot of latest market news.

Usually when I logged on to the internet every morning, I will be 'nudged' by him on msn immediately, followed by a shocking opening headline of either 'market crashed', 'plunged', 'pong!', 'poi', or sometimes 'lu eh jai boh...'.  I must say, he is very 'active' and 'energetic' online, but very quiet in person when you meet him in real life (seems to have dual personality... real life vs. cyber... haha).

After he goes to China, he will not have much time to chat with me anymore, as he will be busy with his new job in Beijing.  So Jo will soon be very lonely :(     Hmm wait a minute... may be not, as that argumentative-kepo-jOu will soon be back from Melbourne...  I'd better enjoy my quiet moment now.

My 4th Jobless/Bossless day...

I thought I will be super free after I quit my job. In fact, I have not been having enough time to complete my planned tasks. Let's see what I did today (in fact it's already yesterday)...

7:00 a.m. : Woke up, went to pick up Hoonster

8:30-9:00 a.m.: Meet up with Thea and John for breakfast

9:00-11:00 a.m.: Went to do EPF investment for Hoonster and Pig Pig

11:00-12:00 p.m.: Went to Thea's office to create account, trade stocks, did some tests (Thea insisted that Hoonster and I took some tests on our aura colors)

12:00-3:00 p.m.: Went to get some IT gadgets at Saberkas, I bought a cartridge for my printer, Hoonster got the 8G SD card

3:00-4:00 p.m.: Drove Hoonster to get cake ingredients, went home to bring my laptop and camera

4:00-11:00 p.m.: Baked cake at Audrey's place. My assigned task was to build Thomas the Train. Here is the finishing product...

My Birthday

Today is my birthday. I worked till 6 p.m.++ and had steam boat dinner with friends at 'My House Steamboat'...

After dinner, we had a cake cutting ceremony... here goes happy Jo and her birthday cake...

After singing the birthday song, Thea helped me to divide the cake.... but, she broke the plastic knife...

Haha... anyway, it's a fun gathering. Thank you, guys!

On the other hand, at home... Emily bought a bottle of wine to celebrate with me and Pig Pig... I took the initiative to open it... (usually it's just a peace of cake to open it but...)

somehow it just stuck and won't come out...

Eventually Emily took over and managed to open it.

Besides, I also received chocolate from this leng-jai angmo who sits in front of me...

Hey, cute looking guy huh...

Anyway, even though I had a busy day at work, I felt blessed to be "interrupted" by non-stop sms, emails, phone calls from all my friends from near and far away. Also I felt blessed to be always surrounded by friends on my birthday.

My birthday celebration dinner with The Chabos at Four Points

The Chabos managed to celebrate my birthday on time (actually in advance) this year, amazing!! (It's usually late for at least 1-2 months...) We went to Four Points by Sheraton for buffet last Sunday evening.



The food selection was quite good, range from Japanese (sashimi, tempura etc), Western (steak, lamb etc), Chinese, Italian (pasta, pizza etc) to Bar-b-que. Unfortunately I forgot to take more pix on the food, as we were simply too busy eating and chatting!!! Here go the only few that I took...

It was a delightful dinner. I was quite pleased with the choice of restaurant this time (too bad I didn't really take much pix of the whole restaurant). Anyway I like it there and think I will go again (especially when the dinner is free... hehe). Thanks & muaks, girls!!

p/s: Thea, you just have to wait patiently for your turn to request for a costly dinner from us ok!! Anyway, no guarantee that Jou's boss won't appear and pay for the bill again, just like last time, haha... guess we are just lucky on your birthday everytime...
