JUST DO IT!

How to be an effective person??

According to Steven Covey's 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, one should practise all the followings:
1. Be Proactive
2. Begin with an end in mind
3. Put first things first
4. Think Win/Win
5. Seek first to understand then be understood
6. Synergize
7. Sharpen the saw

I think it's all true. So an effective person is in a way a person who is positive thinking, plan things by thinking what he/she wants as a result, then prioritize goals and tasks accordingly. At the same time, getting support from others by thinking how to have both benefit from doing it (win-win). Try to understand from other's view point and let others understand your view point. Sharing ideas and motivating each other to keep the synergy going. From time to time, seek for self growth in physical, spiritual, mental and emotional dimensions.

On the other hand, an ineffective person would be a person who is negative thinking, never plan and prioritize, just flow with the current. When dealing with others, always think of how to take advantage of others, being selfish, using people. Never care about what others think, very self-centered. When there are achievement, eager to take all the credits, never praise or share success. Always blame, never encourage. And lastly, never seek for renewal, i.e. never have patience to learn.

Now, can you see the difference??

One more thing that I think is important is to have the 'Just Do It' attitude. A lot of time, we tend to think, think and think but never do anything. So nothing happens really. What I learned is that we should never have the habit to delay things kos the stress level increase exponentially with time, which is unhealthy. Therefore, don't procrastinate, just do it and you will feel good.

'just do it' also equals doing without thinking or 'co-nia-kha-teng-cia-lai-pak-seng'....u sure that's the best way of going about things? for me- i think no. 2 is the be all and end all- if before you do anything you have a goal, even if you just do it- you know where you're headed and how you're gonna get there... ;-)
